American Apparel Toronto Rummage sale... and pub!

In case you havent heard yet American Apparel has been having a sale all weekend long. Its at 590 King St west, tomorrow is the last day - its open from 10 am to 7 pm. Today i figured i would not get any studying done so going to the sale seemed like a good plan. It was pretty brutal to get up early enough, i was downtown in line by 8:30 , and even still when they were giving out tickets for return times my time wasnt till 4 pm!! When i got in line i was beside the pizza pizza and by the time the line started to move at 10 it was all the way around the street corner to who knows where!!
I decided to just stay in line and see if i would be able to get in earlier by chance before my ticket time... turned out luck was on my side and i was in by 1:30. i didnt take my camera down with me so i snapped a picture of my sweet bundle job and my goodies :)

I ended up doing pretty well .... got a grey tube dress, super large purple turtle( iam not huge of turtle necks, but i figured as a dress this would be do-able), a pair of gold leggings, light blue pleated skirt, a gold spandex skirt, and a navy blue dress. On one hand i want next week so i can throw these pieces all together yet the other hand i have exams next week :S .... tough call
I had another fun surprise when i got back to school too! the two pairs of tights that i ordered when the 30% off sale was on where waiting for me in my mail book!! even thought today was super long it was very much worth it.

Wednesday and Thursday were just shirt and jeans days but Thursday night our school pub FINALLY got their full liquor license which meant we had to go and have a good time :) This then led to ...
a blue lace back tank top- urban outfitters
gold tube bra- American Apparel
belt-??
AE Jeans
It was a sweet night, had a lot of fun. somehow managed to lose my glasses for ten minutes, not good, but lucky my friends were completely cool with looking for me and long story short they ended up back where they belong  :)  YAY!
(i wore this shirt on my birthday this year too , i enjoy it)

keep your eyes open for next weeks "creations"

Yesterday (Tuesday) when i woke up i had a list of things to get done and surprise surprise i got them all done :) Since there was a large list , awesome yet no fuss clothes were a must and with that came...
Rockcliff Tee- again found this is the pile of clothes that my mom was storing in my closet at home
very useful belt-???
AE light wash jeans- value city
crazy beaded necklace- once again , this item falls under the category of just appearing in my room. its been there sooo long i dont remember it not being around
Its a pretty sweet necklace , some of the beads have gotten broken over the years but you cant tell. it kinda looks like someone just melted things together when you look super close at the beads

I got a few compliments on my shirt , one person even said and i quote " your mom is soo cool , my mom would have never worn cool stuff like that" SO I was pretty impressed with my closet exploring find.

I dont really enjoy my monday class (iam getting very excited that its almost done... but thats beside the point) This means that ive been coming up with creative ways to make mondays better. Which this week meant bright and colourful clothes :D

purple long sweater- on SALE :) from garage in the summer
blue tank - as far as i remember a 3 pack from costco (i work at a summer camp , you end up collecting tank tops)
black shorts- zara
"lipstick" red tights- joe fresh
black/white keds- winners
is it just me or does everyone get a little rush when they see all what was bought on sale in their closets....?

Sneaky Dee's , Light, and goldfish. sweet

Not going to lie - the weekend was a bit of a right off clothes wise, well at least during the day ... i sat around writing my life away on an 8 to 10 page contemporary narrative essay, so i rocked the yoga pants and comfortable huge sweaters. Friday night I was at Sneaky Dee's for Hostage Life's final show, it was amazing! I just kept it nice and simple with a pair of AE jeans and one of my mom's old shirts that i found in the pile of clothes she was storing in my closet at room. Its from her days in junior farmers and university, its a pretty sweet shirt.

Then on Saturday night I ended up taking a break from procrastinating and writing to go downtown with some girl friends. The plan for the night was a place called reign yet a very smooth talking man with $5 cover charge cards for the 8 of us changed our minds and we went to a place called light. It was alright for a club, could have been much worse but could have been better.
* the nice bouncer took our picture,
AND we didnt even have to ask, he offered!
All in all we had fun , and thats the point. And of course we made it so we had an awesome time on the TTC adventure on the way back home :)
Nine West Jacket - early christmas present last year, 99% sure my mom found it at costco
Costa Blanca shirt- there is a picture of the details alittle farther down
Urban Behavior skirt
Vintage purse - found in St. Lawrence Market last spring
Payless Flats - cant go wrong with a pair of flats

ps i urge you to go look at the ingerdients on the back of a bag of goldfish , i kid you not - the first thing they put in is smiles :D

Wool Love You Forever..

Woke up on Thursday morning knowing i had a presentation to do in class and to top it all off the weather was gross which meant it was for sure a wool sweater day. It was a good choice , was comfortable all day long.

hooded wool sweater- made with love from the mother for christmas last year
jeans- american eagle
belt- came off a skirt that i got a few years ago from a now non-existent American store called Value City ( pretty much it was clothes from big name stores that could sell everything , so if it was out of season it was sent to VC)
i had on my black and white keds on for some of the day but then when the rain came down harder switched into my black rain boots that have umbrellas on them (both from winners)

Knitted with love...

Friday my photo class met up downtown in the heart of Kensington Market, and in my rush to grab some sweet shots i forgot completely to take one of what i had on so ... heres my shirt...
well actually it was my moms , but i found it in my closet at home one day and now i wear it. just paired it with a pair of jeans, my red converses and my winter jacket . straight up simple :)

Also on Friday night i went to the last ever Hostage Life show at Sneaky Dee's. I finally got to see them play live, it was amazing but bittersweet. They also played with the City Sweethearts and the Little Millionaires, both interesting bands to check out. The place was packed and the bruises i found from the stage this morning were so worth it.and with that i will leave you... RIP Hostage Life

Come on in!

Hey(is for horses)! Hows it going ? I really would love to hear from you. You could say I am somewhat new at this world of the blog, last year in one of my courses we had to blog for an assignment, yet I found that because we "had to" for marks i was not committed to sticking with it after the fact. So here is try number two! Fingers crossed that keeping up with this does not become too much. Pretty much the game plan is photography, fashion, and whatever else pops into my head; maybe just maybe these things are a topic of interest for you too and ill see you around :)
